6 Days Left!!!

Hello all!
I am so excited because I am down to the single digits of days left of school. I only have 6 days left of taking college book work classes then I am done and ready to student teach! I will be moving back home with my parents in Ft. Wayne next Monday and will start my summer job of being the bulldog nurse. I will help raise the puppies and take care of the adult bulldogs that my parents have as well.I cannot wait to get home and see those puppies! Well, I need to get back to paper writing. Only 2 papers, & 2 finals stopping me from going home! :)

Frustration...

So I've been trying to post at least 3 diff
erent times using my firefox browser but it didn't work. Every time I tried to post a new post, it would turn my words into ???????. FRUSTRATING! Finally, I got smart and switched browsers and it works, wierd!

Well, not a whole lot has been happening in my life lately. I have been focused on finishing my last 19 days of school before I move home to Ft. Wayne. I just recently found out my student teaching placement for the fall so I am very excited about that. My dad introduced me to 2 wonderful teachers that are going to let me student teach with them in the fall. I will be at Shambaugh Elementary school in a 3rd grade class for 8 weeks and a special education resource room for 8 weeks. I cannot wait to get in the classroom and interact with my students. I am so ready to begin my teaching career and get paid more than $7 an hour!

Friday, I am headed with Fabio to visit Jason at Wabash College. I believe this will be my last trip to Wabash before Jason graduates May 11th. Wow! 4 years of us being away from each other at college and it is soon going to be at its end. Well, I am psyched about that too!

This coming Wednesday, I am driving home with Fabio to Ft. Wayne to help my mom and dad with the delivery of english bulldog puppies. They need someone to help stay up with the puppies when they are just born so that the mother won't roll on them and that they are safe and healthy. I will post some pictures of the bully pups after they are born. Then, Saturday Fabio and I are driving to Plymouth Indiana for Jason's last fraternity formal. We are staying at a nice resort there, so hopefully the weather will be nice. I guess have a lot more to look forward to than I thought :)

As for the operation get healthy, I have lost a total of 6lbs since March 18th. I am happy about it and have been working out everyday burning 500 calories on cardio equipment. Today I cheated a little bit and had some unhealthy Olive Garden, but I'm off to the gym to burn it off after I finish this post. I started out weighing 195.6lbs and I weighed in this week at 189.2 so I am slowly losing some excess fat. YAY! Tomorrow's a new day and I have to eat way better and exercise again. It really does feel good to know that you are moving and giving your body the activity it needs.

Well, I should be off to the gym before I lose motivation and stay home. I will post more when I get some more time and if something interesting happens:) Enjoy the picture below, it just makes me laugh. Have a great weekend everyone!

Moving Out

Well this week I have been focused on packing up things that I am not going to need for my last 6 weeks of school. My parents are here this week and are renting a Uhaul to take back some of my big furniture and boxes. I can't believe that the time has come to almost say Goodbye to Bloomington. I have enjoyed college, but I am ready to move on to student teaching in the fall and then to graduation in December! I find myself having a large case of senioritis because my classes are ones that I am not terribly interested in and I just want to get out of here. I know that when I move home at the beginning of May I have bulldog puppies to look forward to, Jason to see, and warm weather to greet me. I am very tired of the rainy cold that has been stuck in Bloomington forever.
In the next months I have an honors banquet to attend for having a gpa higher than 3.5, bachlorette party in Indy, Jason's last fraternity formal, 2 weddings in May, and I'm busy. Well, I am off to work at the elementary schools where I watch little children until school starts. Have a great week!

Long Awaited Update...

Hello all!!! I have decided to start up a blog again so that my friends and family can keep up with Jason and I. Since a lot of my friends are graduating college and moving onto bigger and better things I thought it would be nice for them to be able to check up on us by clicking on my blog. I promise that I will try my best to update at least once a week.
Currently I am in my last semester of course work classes at Indiana University in Bloomington Indiana. I have been here for 4 years which seems unreal to me because I feel as if I just graduated high school. This upcoming fall, I will finish my last semester of college in Ft. Wayne as I student teach in an elementary school in Fort Wayne Community Schools. I have yet to find out what school and teacher I will be working with, but when I find out I will let you all know. I am so excited to get into the classroom and work with students! During my student teaching I will complete 8 weeks teaching in a regular elementary classroom and my last 8 weeks teaching in an elementary special education environment. Then, after that I will graduate from my undergrad on December 20th 2008.
This summer I am moving back in with my parents to save money as I work and later student teach in the fall. I will be employed by them helping to raise a litter of English Bulldog puppies. Since my dad got a new job, he will not be available like he has been in the past to help raise a litter of puppies. My mom asked me to help and in return I will get paid for helping and cleaning the rental houses in Bloomington. It will be nice this summer to not have to report to a certain building, at a specific time, and not worry about asking off. I am dedicated to helping my parents as much as I can. Jason still is unsure as to what he will be doing this summer in terms of work. He graduates from Wabash College on May 11th and I could not be more proud of him! Next fall he is going to most likely attend Indiana University School of Medicine to start off his medical schooling to become a doctor. He is hoping to be in Indianapolis but might be placed in Ft. Wayne or other I.U. campuses.
Friday (7th) I'm flying to Albuquerque to visit one of my good friends from high school since I am on spring break. I have not seen her for about 2 years so I am very excited to see her. We are going to basically catch up and enjoy the 6 days that I am there. Jason has been on spring break this past week and is with some frat brothers in Panama City, Florida. It sounds like he has been having a blast!
Well, that is about all the time I have to update right now. My anthropology class is beginning. Hope things are going well for all of you!! Bye!
