IU Graduation & 25 lb weight loss!

On December 20th, 2008 my twin brother Brett & I graduated from college. We both got our bachelors degree thanks to our supportive family and loved ones, especially my grandpa and grandma Wolf. I could not have gotten as far as I have and be so successful without their generous gifts of love and support. Thank you.

For our commencement ceremony, Brett and I decided to decorate the tops of our hats so our family would see us. He put the Pac Man on top of his hat while I put Mrs. Pac Man on top of mine. Our family and Jason's family found us with no trouble.

Today, my mom and I went to our weekly weight watchers meeting and I finally hit my 25lb weight loss! I am so excited and proud because 25 lbs was the goal I made back in July to lose by the time I walked down the aisle. My mom also got her award today at our meeting for losing 10% of her body weight that she had when she joined weight watchers. Total she has lost around 40lbs and I have lost 25lbs. I am so proud of us and how committed we are to being successful with our health. Jason's mom has also done such a wonderful job and I know she's lost weight. She's gone down a dress size and her face looks much thinner. I am very proud of her too! We will all look beautiful on Saturday when we are taking our photos at the wedding.

Only 6 days until I get married!! YAY! Jason and I are so excited and feel so blessed to have each other and become our own family. We look forward to celebrating with everyone and just making great memories:)

Graduation

3 weeks of free time together!

YAY!!! We have a lot to be grateful for! Jason is officially done with his first semester of medical school and now has 3 weeks off for winter vacation. I am officially done student teaching and am graduating from IU this coming Saturday in Bloomington Indiana. I have sub training for FWCS this week so I can sub until I find a job in the fall. Christmas is only 11 days away and then................our WEDDING!! We are so pumped!

Last night we had our first real date since Jason & I started school in August. We had not time crunches that we had to do anything we just did our own thing. It was really nice. The next 3 weeks it will just be us enjoying this short amount of free time until after the wedding when we get back into school and the real world of working. Jason and I have almost everything prepared for the wedding and are so excited that in 13 days we will be husband and wife. He was joking last night saying that, "Next semester, I'll be able to tell my medical school friends that I have to get home to my wife."  He then had a huge smile on his face:) We both are EXCITED and not nervous. People keeping asking us if we are nervous, and our response is, "If we were really nervous we wouldn't be getting married, we are so excited and prepared for this next step." 

Well, I just got back from the gym & tanning so I'm going to go and take a shower. I hope everyone has a great week and I look forward to seeing you at the wedding!!!

Before & After Photos

Jason and I both gained weight at college and after about 5 months of weight watchers we are both a lot healthier! Here are some before and after photos! We are also very PROUD of our mothers who have also been doing weight watchers and have lost a lot of weight. Here's a picture of all 4 of us at Jason's graduation in May before we started weight watchers. We have all lost a lot of weight since :)

Our Christmas Spirit

Since I have just been focused on my student teaching, preparing to graduate, Jason studying his butt off for his medical school finals, and of course our wedding plans we have decided we are just too busy this year for a Christmas tree. We bought one last year on sale, but with our very busy schedule at the end of the month, we decided to skip it this year. I have decorated a little, so here are some photos of our decorations.

I am DONE student teaching as of last Tuesday! I am ready to graduate on December 20th from IU! Then, on to the best day of my life :)

Week 22: 0 lbs lost & 0 lbs gained!

I know that most people on weight watchers would be very disappointed to see that they had not lost any weight in one week, but I was THRILLED today! I felt so proud of myself to see that scary scale hit the same weight I was the week before. I am thrilled because that means I am not any heavier from when I got my wedding gown fitted and I'm not any lighter, I'm perfect to fit into it! These past 2 weeks I have not been recording my points as diligently as I had before I got my gown fitted in trying to maintain my weight. While I have eaten more fast food and goodies than I had over the past 5 months, I also have been working out about an hour every other day. It makes me feel so good to know that after my wedding when I lose the remainder of my weight, I CAN keep it off. I don't have to gain back all the weight I've worked so hard to take off. So, goodbye 24.8lbs that I've lost over the past 5 months, you are not creeping back up on me! Weight watchers better expect me to stay focused on my health and when I no longer have to worry about losing more weight to fit in my gown, I will start back to recording my points and working my butt off at the gym so I can shed my last 15 pounds. Thanks for listening to my accomplishments and for supporting me through this exciting time of my life!
